To be submissive is an idea that is viewed as weak and non-admirable everywhere. I imagine that Paul’s audience, the believers in Rome must have struggled with the idea since in that time Emperors were so evil and abusive. Was Paul asking the believers to suffer abuse
voiceless? No!
