Fellowship with God Means walking in the Light which involves having fellowship with others, Acknowledgment of Sin, Confession of sin, Forgiveness of sin, and Purification from sin
It is important to consider the fellowship into which our Lord Jesus Christ has brought us. What is it that God requires of us in this fellowship? Is the Lord aware of my daily struggle against sin or of my falling short of doing what is right? What is it that the Lord does with regard to our daily sins? Such questions, a Christian who desires to walk with the Lord finds asking oneself. And those also who by the workings of the Lord in warning them of their poor position they are in because of holding to the things of the world come to see the danger they are in and are shown the need to consider the basic things concerning the fellowship they have been brought into by the price of the blood of Christ.
We are going to look at this subject of fellowship in parts.
This is our passage of study:
If we claim to have fellowship with Him yet walk in the darkness, we lie and do not live by the truth. But if we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus, his Son, purifies us from all sin. If we claim to be without sin, we deceive ourselves and the truth is not in us. If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just and will forgive us our sins and purify us from all unrighteousness. If we claim we have not sinned, we make him out to be a liar and his word has no place in our lives (1 John 1:6-10)
